Lindsell
Train Limited was established in late 2000 and is thus in its
ninth
year of business. Lindsell Train focuses on the management of UK and Japanese equities, mainly through long only strategies, together with some global mandates. The business has grown steadily and assets under management totalled
£946.1mn as at 30 June 2010.
Our objective for all strategies is to grow the real value of capital and income over the long term and thus we have an absolute return orientation.
Clients
comprise two investment trusts and a selection of open-ended investment
funds, together with a limited number of segregated mandates.
The business is founded on the shared investment philosophy that developed while the founders worked together from the early 1990's at GT Management PLC. This shared investment philosophy, and our experience of applying it, represent the company's "value-added".
The "purpose" of Lindsell Train is to provide a professional environment that enables us to achieve strong investment results for our clients. Both the founders were concerned about their ability to deliver such returns within the confines of the major institutions where they were employed previously. The results achieved at Lindsell Train to date seem to vindicate the decision to establish the company.
